These shelves lift out?! Sonofabitch!

I have been a total slug today! I've binge watched Eureka for past few days. Wednesday I cleaned out the fridge. It had become just horrid. How many kinds of mustard do we need? I threw away anything not in date, some sporting a 2011 stamp. Freakin eww! Then I decided to wipe down everything, because...well I never have. As I'm struggling with the meat drawer, it comes out. Now I had rattled wiggled and jabbed at the shelf below it while I scrubbed it. It never freaking budged.
I almost fainted with self frustration, doing the next three shelves took less time than the one shelf and the door before. But I LOOOOOVE my clean fridge. It's so bright. I can see stuff. It's not cluttered. Nothing is gross. Makes me happy.
Scott made his awesome turkey meatballs. I have red peppers, spinach, tomato and basil sauce on spinach fettuccine. I'm waiting for him to get back from band practice so we can nosh. I'm so proud that we've almost used up all the extra veg I bought for the clean eating challenge. We caved by day 7, halfway through. I never should have doubled up the shopping list like the website said. I still have three bundles of asparagus to deal with, and two bunches of spinach I'm hoping doesn't turn to slime before I can do something with it.
I probably should have gone to the grocery store, but I didn't want to. AT ALL. And there is nothing here for breakfast. Ah well, it'll be fine.
Ok time to sign off, I just needed to write something so today wasn't a total write off.

Ha Ha...

  1. I so need to do that.
Dice up the asparagus. Saute in T butter. Add T flour, salt, white pepper and brown flour slightly. Add milk, simmer. Best asparagus soup ever. Freeze for quick lunch.
steam spinach. Put in container cover with chicken stock. Freeze. Take out for quick supper. Add five spice bring to boil. Add fresh shrimp, lemongrass. Serve garnished with fresh basil and lime...thai soup.
    love you
